Bright Eyes - "The People's Key" -- streamin' on NPR

Yes, we still like Bright Eyes.

You can hear their new album on NPR now. It comes out for real on Feb 15.

I've given it a couple listens already. The music is tinged with some of the electronic elements on "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn," but retains some of the folk/rock instrumentation. Oberst's lyrics seem more balanced and universal with less angst and blame.

Take a listen if you're interested. It's a good way to spend 45 minutes of your time during the icy/snowy weather.

We've got a show coming up in Lawrence with two really great bands--Quiet Corral and Hidden Pictures. It's at the Granada. It's on Thursday, January 20th. We're not sure of the line-up yet, but we're likely to go first. The doors open at 8 pm. The music will start at 9 pm.

NYE in Aggieville

Hola. The Low End is opening up for "The Ultimate Fakebook" on New Year's Eve in Aggieville (Manhattan, KS). We'll be playing on a stage underneath the Varney's Marquee on Moro Street around 10 pm. Talking Mountain Show this Saturday

This Saturday, Talking Mountain (Omaha, Nebrasky) will be joining us for a Dead Birdhouse show. The Low End will be playin' around nine and should have a new single available (featuring "Lower 48" and "Two Moons"). This will be the last DB show of 2010... come!
